I tell them, “Behold the Days are coming…!!

What a privilege it is to be part of the Knock and Talk team of Beth Ariel Congregation.

I have been with this outreach for a number of years and experience it as a great blessing.

My husband and I listen to the messages from our Pastor Jacques Isaac Gabizon. Preached from a Jewish perspective, they enhance our understanding of the Scriptures and cause our hearts to be stirred to share this wonderful News, especially with the Jewish people.

This was the Day She Wanted to Know More

While we are still in quarantine from going door to door, we continue to pray and be encouraged concerning the work that God has given us for this Kingdom march. Here is a testimony of another team member of the Knock and Talk outreach, recounting what this work has meant to her.

The Word: Our Watered Oasis

Through the Knock and Talk ministry, God rejoices our hearts week after week with encounters, touching stories, and sometimes with the privilege to pray with His people. We also witness some of their personal suffering. Some of these Jewish people we have met were eagerly hoping in the soon coming of Messiah. They understand and believe, each to varying degrees, that with his coming, pain would end.

What we will NOT be doing in heaven

One thing I have been taught at my congregation is: “Evangelize here and now because this is what we will not be doing in heaven… after all, there are no sinners there”.

Here is our second testimony, this one coming from a long-time member of the Knock and Talk team as she shares the incentives in and the goals for joining this ministry. Read more…

A Busy Time of Prayer

Since the Covid 19 outbreak, many activities have come to a standstill. One of those ministries which was affected was the Knock and Talk outreach. It has been about one month since the group stopped going out, but they met up in another great way; the strategic battle plans changed their course of action. Instead of going to the doors, they are praying together by phone, remembering so many of those to whom they gave out Bibles and praising the Lord for all the great opportunities given them. They are fortifying themselves and covering each other until they get back on the battle front again, never losing sight of the ultimate victory, meeting Yeshua at the finish line. Please continue to pray with us that many would have their eyes supernaturally opened so that during this lockdown they would be able, by God’s grace,  to see the hand of God and hear His own battle cry of warnings to us all.

We would like to share with our readers some personal testimonies from the Knock and Talk team members.  These quieter times have given them opportunity to reflect and write about things close to their heart concerning Knock and Talk. This first report is from our sister who heads up the Knock and Talk teams. Be blessed as she shares her heart with you.

Hebrew at its Best

As messianic Jews we are often reminded by the more scholarly orthodox that we cannot understand the scriptures unless we know the Hebrew language very well. So what happens when a Hebrew teacher reads the language in a different way, for now she recognizes the Spirit Who authored the letters. What a different kind of read that can be.

Standing worlds apart

… And they will hammer their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not lift up sword against nation.
And never again will they learn war. Isaiah 2:4b

His music in our hearts

We sometimes worry about what our neighbors (especially in apartment buildings) might think when our music is just too loud. But how beautiful it is when the sounds of praise reach the recesses of our hearts. Music was therapy for King Saul but the Spirit’s soothing vocals is what gives rise to the true peace we are seeking. Let’s turn up the volume of God’s praise so that all other disturbing waves would be drowned out. Read more…

All in a Night’s Work

Sometimes cell phones do not work so well in buildings…but this time it did! We finished it all in one night!

We were three teams this past Monday night. It took us about one hour to find a building that would allow us entrance. Condos are difficult to get into because there often is security at the door.  We did find one apartment building but waited so long because there was no traffic of people going in and out; so finally, we left! Then, we found a building and started our outreach at around the time we usually finish, about 8:00pm. This building had 20 floors but not too many mezuzahs, so we had a cell phone system going where we would call each other and see which team would take which floor, starting from the 20th and working our way down.  And imagine, that we finished the whole building in just one night. God granted us favor as we handed out eight full sets and four Tanakhs.
