When it comes to our God, there are so many amazing things we read about. Take for example Daniel 3 and how God sealed and delivered the prophet’s three friends from a furnace made seven times hotter than usual. The Babylonians recognized 7 planets and 7 gods to go with those planets. Could Nebuchadnezzar have raised the furnace 7 notches higher to honor each one of these seven gods? It is as if our great God says, “You Nebuchadnezzar burnt My temple in Jerusalem. Now I will show you how easily I can burn any of your men, your very witnesses, but at the same moment protect those who are witnesses of My glory (Isaiah 44:9-10).
There was no evidence of Daniel’s three friends being affected by the fire, not a singed hair, not a smell of smoke on their clothing. No ashes were to be found on this hearth.
What we see is God’s protection against the most powerful natural earthly element; fire. In the same way God will protect His witnesses during the Tribulation, sealing these 144,000 fruit fruits from harm, even from all supernatural evil forces.
May your Spirit spark of fire in our hearts that never burns out and may those flames brand these words from Joshua 24:15.
Choose for yourselves today whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served which were beyond the river, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."
