Forgiveness:  The Glue of Covenant Love

God made Israel the apple of his eye…the very pupil of his focus and the very centre of his vision. Jehovah is the husband of Israel… no matter how much she has walked away from him, he remains faithful… his grace creates the unbreakable  bonds of marriage…bonds that reach into the heavenly realm of eternity that says “you are mine forever”… and when Israel ran to other gods, though Yahweh was provoked, He loved her still, … how? By forgiving her and that drew her back to Him. He loved us first before we even knew him.

Can anything break the bond between God and Israel, His wife? No. Can anything break the bond between Messiah and His bride? No… for nothing will separate us …. Neither death, nor life, nor principalities… or any other creature….and in today’s message we will hear how God views the bonds between a man and woman in marriage… to be fashioned by grace and welded in forgiveness.
